Easton Robbery

Easton police are investigating after they say a man committed two robberies and fired a gunshot in the air.

It happened just before 10 p.m. Saturday night on North Bank Street in the city.

Police say a 54-year-old man and 49-year-old woman were walking together in the 100 block of N. Bank Street when two robbers pointed a handgun at the woman and stole her purse. A robber in a red sweatshirt then fired a shot.

The suspects were last seen fleeing the area of the 100 block of N. Third Street in a silver sedan.

While police were investigating the robbery, a 21-year-old man told officers he'd been approached by a man in a red sweatshirt a short time earlier while walking in the unit block of North Bank Street. He said he was robbed of his keys and various other personal items.

No one was hurt in either incident.

One robber is described as a dark-skinned black man, 6 feet 1 inch tall, thin build, no facial hair. He was wearing a blue jacket with white sleeves and unknown style writing on the back of the jacket. He was also wearing a knit style winter hat.

The other suspect is a heavy set black man, 5 feet 5 inches tall, wearing a red sweatshirt with a handgun.

Anyone with information is asked to call police at 610-250-6656.
