If you're looking for a book or video from Bethlehem's South Side library branch after the holidays, you'll have to wait until March.
The branch, located at 400 Webster Street, is closing January 2 for extensive renovations.
Built in 1929, the location's renovation will redesign the interior layout to better meet the needs of the community.
Improvements include: a book security system, security cameras, carpeting and lighting, refurbished/new doors, replastering the ceilings and walls, new furniture, family-friendly children's space and a more energy efficient HVAC and electrical services.
While the South Side branch is closed, residents can use the Main Library at 11 W. Church Street or the Bookmobile, located in front of the South Side branch. The Bookmobile hours are Fridays and Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The half-million dollar project is being funded by private donations, library officials said.

The library is expected to reopen March 5.
