Allentown begins offering free flu shots

ALLENTOWN, Pa. -

Health officials are working to keep the flu virus out of Allentown. The city's health bureau is offering free flu shots or nasal mist on the first three Fridays of the month.

The first clinic was held Friday afternoon. Additional sessions will be held on Nov. 9 and Nov. 16 at Alliance Hall on North 6th Street.

You don't need an appointment to get the vaccine, but if you have an insurance card, you should bring it with you.

Free flu shots or nasal mist are also being offered at the following polling places on election day, Tues., Nov. 7: East Side Youth Center at 1140 E. Clair St. from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m.; Mountainville Memorial at 1812 S. 5th St. from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. and Alliance Hall from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m.
