The Alfero Construction Company sought an extension on their request for development from the Forks Township Supervisors at their biweekly meeting Thursday night.
First submitted in 2009, the request never moved beyond that initial stage due to a lack of time on Alfero’s part and financial restrictions stemming from market downturns.
The supervisors debated whether or not they should allow yet another extension for Alfero.
“The planning commission would love Mr. Alfaro to get approved and start building and bring his business to Forks,” said Karl Kline, the Forks Township solicitor.
The supervisors decided to grant an extension through May 31 as long as updated plans are submitted by April 30.
The board also heard presentations regarding extension plans for the Victaulic guesthouse. The supervisors had been made aware of these plans at their last meeting, though this Thursday night was the official presentation.
