It's time to take a look back at the stories making headlines this week in the 69 News Week In Review.
Monday, Allentown Mayor Edward Pawlowski named the city's next top cop.
Joel Fitzgerald was nominated as police chief.
Fitzgerald, a Philadelphia native, is currently a police chief in Texas.
City Council is expected to vote on the nomination this week.
If confirmed, Fitzgerald will start next month.
On Tuesday, police arrested one of three men wanted in connection with an attempted homicide in Reading.
Tai-Mare Mercado was arrested for his alleged role in the crime that happened more than two years ago in the 1100 block of Spring Street.
Police said they were able to nab Mercado thanks to recent DNA evidence.
Police are continuing their search for the remaining suspects, Luis Jimenez and Jonathan Gonzalez.
Wednesday, a teenager was killed after being hit by a freight train in Reading.
The accident happened on North 2nd Street near Buttonwood.
Police said an 18-year-old Jaylan Rodriguez was trying to cross the tracks with his bicycle when he was hit.
Officials with the train company, Norfolk Southern, said the train had just started to move when Jaylan became caught and couldn't get away.
On Thursday, a judge ordered a trial for the man accused of going on a deadly shooting rampage at a municipal meeting in the Poconos.
Rockne Newell is headed to trial for the shooting deaths of three people at a Ross Township supervisor's meeting back in August.
According to police, Newell was upset with the supervisors after he lost his land during a court battle.
Friday, an intense manhunt for a Florida fugitive finally came to end in Berks County.
Harold Davis Jr. was collared deep into the woods in Caernarvon Township after an officer spotted him near Route 10.
Police said the manhunt lasted for 21 hours.
At one point, police said a state trooper was nearly run down in the melee.
