It's time to take a look back at the stories making headlines this week in the 69 News Week In Review.
Monday, a murder trial was set for the young mother accused of murdering her baby minutes after he was born.
Prosecutors said 27-year-old Amanda Hein of Bethlehem gave birth in a bathroom stall at Starter's Pub in Lower Saucon Township. She put the baby in a plastic bag and placed him in a toilet tank.
The district attorney said the death penalty could be an option in this case.
On Tuesday, it was a close call for a grandmother from Muhlenberg Township who came face to face with a burglar while she was baby sitting her six-year-old granddaughter.
Police said a man carrying a crowbar broke into the woman's home in the 3400 block of Eisenhower Avenue.
Fortunately, police said the burglar fled after the grandmother confronted him.
Wednesday, charges were filed against an Allentown police officer who allegedly went on a damaging rampage outside a bar.
Officials said officer Jeffrey Rush was off-duty when the alleged incident happened outside Candida's bar in September.
Prosecutors allege Rush was intoxicated when he smashed in a car window and pushed in a window air conditioner.
Witnesses also claimed Rush threatened people and used racial slurs.
On Thursday, a Bethlehem man was sent to prison after police said he led them on a high-speed chase that put several lives in danger.
Police said 20-year-old Carlos Rites hit three cars and almost ran over a woman before crashing into the Saint Bernard's private club in Bethlehem.
Fortunately, no one was injured.
Friday, a used car salesman in Berks County was arrested for allegedly ripping off dozens of customers and pocketing almost one-million dollars.
Troy Wible, the owner of Second Chance Auto Sales in Cumru Township, is accused of bilking more than 60 customers.
Detectives said some of the illegal activities included selling vehicles on consignment without reimbursing the original owner and collecting money for titles and transfers without notifying PennDOT.
