Monday, an elderly woman who was viciously attacked fought back.
Police said 25-year-old Ricky Rose Junior got much more than he bargained for when he broke into an apartment at Woodmont Mews in Bethlehem.
Police said the woman staved off the attacker with a cane.
Officials said the woman was treated for injuries she sustained during the melee.
On Tuesday, a member of a school board in Lehigh County is stepping down after coming under fire for his involvement with a teens-oriented website.
East Penn school board member Julian Stolz announced he would resign at the next board meeting.
An anonymous blog alleges Stolz was involved in a relationship with a 15-year-old Emmaus High School student when he was a 20-year-old School Board director.
Stolz said he is resigning because the blog went too far.
Wednesday, Luzerne County's top cop ruled police were justified in the shooting death of a Hazleton man earlier this month.
District Attorney Stefanie Salavantis said police had no choice but to shoot at 26-year-old Jonathan Garay when he pointed a gun at them.
Members of the community where the shooting happened claim police chased down Garay and did not need to use deadly force.
On Thursday, a woman was arrested in a hit and run in Allentown that left a toddler in critical condition.
Police said April Frame of Salisbury Township hit the little girl and then drove away.
Poice said Frame was driving without a license.
The young girl sustained head injuries and was being treated for bleeding on the brain at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.
Friday, a well-known singer from Reading was arrested for allegedly being at the center of a massive heroin trafficking operation.
Pedro Santos, who goes by the name "Peggy" on the music scene, is facing a slew of drug-related charges.
Police said nearly 300-hundred thousand dollars of heroin was seized from his home in the 400 block of West Oley Street.
