5 charged with dozens of burglaries in Lehigh Valley

Five men are behind bars,  facing charges in a string of burglaries across the Lehigh Valley.

Police say the men hit more than two dozen homes in Allentown and Bethlehem and in Salisbury and Whitehall townships.

Charged are Jean Carlos Irizarry Rodriguez, 22, and Anthony Rodriguez-Pagan, 18, both formerly of 417 ½ W. Tilghman St., Allentown; Hiram Rodriguez Jr., 23, formerly of 1910 Gatewood Lane, Bethlehem; Anthony Richard Machado, 23, no known address; and Kyle Medina, 18, of 918 Main St., Bethlehem.


Irizarry Rodriguez and Machado are in Lancaster County Prison. Rodriguez-Pagan and Rodriguez Jr. are in Lehigh County Prison.

They allegedly stole more than $83,000 worth of electronics, cash, jewelry and handguns.

Police say the burglaries happened between December and May, and all took place between 8 a.m. and 7 p.m.
