Two men are facing drug charges stemming from an investigation focused on a park in Northampton County.
Bethlehem police executed a search warrant at a house in the 700 block of East Morton Street around 6 a.m. Friday as part of an investigation on drug dealing and other criminal activity in and around the Yosko Park area.
Police arrested Rowan "Gorilla" Sinclar and Akeem "Jamaica" Scott, both 24, at the residence.
As part of the search, police said they found crack cocaine with a street value of $700, four handguns and $5,800 inside the home, along with packaging materials used for selling the drugs.
Yosko Park is located just one block from the East Morton Street home.
Sinclar and Scott are each facing charges of possession of crack cocaine, possession with the intent to deliver crack cocaine and related charges.
Each was taken to the Northampton County Prison after being unable to both $75,000 bail.
Bethlehem Police Chief Mark DiLuzio said these arrests were the result of citizen and police cooperation, and officers "will continue to cooperate with the public and use all resources available in its efforts to investigate all drug and criminal complaints, and to arrest all individuals that sell drugs, and/or possess or use illegal firearms, or commit crimes of violence and other crimes, in the City of Bethlehem."
