Edwin DeJesus charged for stealing computer

HANOVER TOWNSHIP (NORTHAMPTION COUNTY), Pa. -

A janitor cleaned out a computer from a medical office where he was working, officials said.

Edwin DeJesus was identified on Nov. 26, 2012, by his supervisor at Top Notch Cleaners as the man seen on a surveillance video making off with a $300 Verizon Netbook from Suite 750 at 87 South Commerce Way, Hanover Township, Northampton County, on Nov. 11, 2012, officials said.

The suite is occupied by employees of the St. Luke's Physicians Group.

DeJesus, 50, of 139 West Tilghman St., Allentown, was arraigned Friday on charges of theft and receiving stolen property and committed to the Northampton County Prison on $10,000 bail, according to court documents.

A preliminary hearing is set for 9 a.m. July 8.
