There was 'snow' holding back for some Olympus employees as they raised money for their favorite charities.
Employees at the Center Valley, Lehigh County headquarters recently put on their snow caps and came up with ways to create snowmen to represent their chosen nonprofit organization.
Real snow wasn't allowed but real money for the top vote-getting snowman was awarded to the charity.
Snowmen were made out of plastic cups, alpaca fur, stuffed toy animals and even garbage bags.
"These dedicated, creative teams organized and worked together to bring the heart of their charity to life! Every entry is a winner," stated Lauren Goff, Executive Director of Corporate Social Responsibility for Olympus Corporation of the Americas.
Employee votes for the snowman creations were tallied and the winners were:
1st place ($1000): Peaceable Kingdom
2nd place ($750): Lehigh Valley Center for Independent Living
3rd place ($500): Archbury Foundation
“Best in Show” ($250): Pennridge FISH
Every entry was rewarded with a $100 donation to their charity.
