A man's assault on the mother of his child was brought to an end after their 6-year-old daughter called 911, officials said.
George P. Davis Jr. was found on top of the woman after their 6-year-old led police inside their home in the Hickory Hills mobile home community in Moore Twp., Northampton Co., at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, officials said.
The woman told police Davis pushed her on top of a table in the living room and began punching her in the face and choking her after she confronted him about being in the home, officials said.
The woman first became aware of Davis was in the home when she heard her children speaking to someone in the kitchen while she was in the bathroom, officials added.
Police found the victim with a cut on her left elbow, a bloody, swollen lip, and bruises on her neck and upper back, officials said.
Davis, 58, was arraigned on charges of assault, harassment and domestic violence and released on $20,000 unsecured bail, according to court documents.
A preliminary hearing is set for 9 a.m. March 26.
