A Lehigh University grad took center stage Monday at a big event in New York City.

NEW YORK CITY, NY -

A Lehigh University grad took center stage Monday at a big event in New York City.

Joseph Parella served as Grand Marshal for the 69th Annual Columbus Day Parade in Manhattan.

Parella is the son of an Italian immigrant.

He graduated from Lehigh University in 1964 and went on to get his MBA from Harvard.

He's a founding member of Parella Weinberg Partners which is a financial services firm.

Parella is also a Lehigh University trustee and he and his wife have made numerous donations to the school over the years.
