Easton Council
EASTON, Pa. -

Easton got a new vice mayor Thursday with the appointment of Roger Ruggles, an engineering professor at Lafayette College who was sworn into a second term of office at council’s annual organization meeting.

Ruggles, an associate professor of civil & environmental engineering at the college, replaced Councilman Ken Brown as vice mayor.

Also sworn in was James Edinger, who is serving his first term in office after winning a council seat in November. Edinger served for 20 years on the city’s zoning hearing board before joining council.

Veteran Councilwoman Sandra Vulcano took the oath of office for the fourth time, becoming the first woman on council to achieve that distinction.
