Jeep collides with car, rolls over in Schuylkill County crash

SUV rolls over after near headon

KLINE TWP., Pa. -

One person was flown to a Lehigh County hospital after an accident Thursday morning in Schuylkill County.

It happened a little after 7:30 a.m. in the 1000 block of Mile Hill Road, also known as Route 309 in in Kline Township.

Police said 37-year-old Grace DiMarco of Tamaqua was driving her Jeep in the northbound lane, when for unknown reasons, her SUV crossed into the southbound lane.

According to Kline Twp. police: An SUV driven by 52-year-old Thomas Dellman of Drums, was traveling south, and hit the right rear quarter panel of DiMarco's SUV.

After the impact, the Jeep went into an embankment and rolled over onto its roof.

Crews extricated DiMarco from her vehicle and flew her to Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest in Salisbury Twp. There's no word on her condition.

Dellman declined treatment at the scene but said he'd pursue treatment on his own for pain in his knee and ankle, police said.

Route 309 was closed for about an hour after the accident, which remains under investigation.
