SPRING TWP., Pa. -

Thanksgiving is still a few weeks away, but officials with the Berks County Parks and Recreation Department already have Christmas on the brain.

Crews spent the day Friday putting up thousands of holiday lights and other decorations at Gring's Mill in Spring Township. They'll flip the switch on the 32nd annual "Holiday Lights at Gring's Mill" on Dec. 6.

This year's theme is "Walking Down Holiday Memories Lane."

The lights will be on from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. Wednesdays through Sundays until Dec. 29.

Live musical performances are scheduled to take place between 6:30 and 8:30 each evening, and Santa will be on hand to greet children until 8:30 on each operating evening before Christmas.

Check out the parks department's website for a full schedule of holiday activities.
