SOUTH WHITEHALL TWP., Pa. -

Hundreds of local first responders were put to the test in Lehigh County on Monday, but luckily it was all just a drill.

A full-scale emergency preparedness exercise was held at Dorney Park in South Whitehall Township.

Responders were told that someone sprayed something into a busy restaurant at the park and that several people were unconscious.

Organizers said this is the largest drill of its kind to be executed in Lehigh County. It's also believed to be the first such drill to be carried out an amusement park.

"They really have taken on a leadership role and so to the question of lessons learned, put themselves at the forefront to really ensure that there is really some industry standards and best practices," said Michelle Pinnock, Harper/Strategic Crisis Solutions.

More than a dozen emergency agencies at the state, county and local levels participated in the training exercise.
