Ricardo Montero a well-known figure in the Latino community in Allentown is accused of raping a 15-year-old girl

ALLENTOWN ,Pa. -

The head of one of the area's most prestigious Spanish-language newspaper is in trouble with the law again.

Ricardo Montero, 67, the owner of El Torero newspaper in Allentown, is accused of raping a 15-year-old girl, Lehigh County District Attorney Jim Martin confirms.

According to Martin, the alleged rape occurred in an apartment above the El Torero office which sit at 6th and Linden streets.

Montero has a checkered past.  In 2001 he was accused of indecent assault.  Also that year, on New Year's Eve, he was accused of corruption of minors and sexual exploitation of children.  And in 2002 he pleaded guilty to patronizing prostitutes.
