A Chester County man who was convicted of killing his neighbors' dogs has been sentenced.

WEST CHESTER, Pa. -

A Chester County man who was convicted of killing his neighbors' dogs has been sentenced.

Gabriel Pilotti shot and killed two Bernese mountain dogs in West Vincent Township in February, claiming he was afraid the dogs were going to attack his sheep, but police said the dogs weren't threatening Pilotti's animals.

Pilotti was convicted last month of two counts of animal cruelty. He was sentenced Monday to two years of probation, 90 days of house arrest and 200 hours of community service.
