The event has grown steadily over the years.
Officials said more than 5,050 individuals participated in the 2013 Lehigh Valley Health Network Via Marathon on Saturday and Sunday, up from 3, 150 last year.
Runners from 37 states, Puerto Rico, Washington, D.C., Canada and Singapore participated in the weekend's activities.
More than 650 volunteers supported the event.
The event featured a full and half marathon, five-person Team Relay, 5K Run, Family Fun Walk and Kids Race.
The 26.2 mile course started at Lehigh Valley Hospital - Cedar Crest in Salisbury Township near Allentown and took runners through the Lehigh Parkway to the Lehigh River Canal Towpath, continuing through Allentown, Bethlehem and Easton.
