A firefighter was taken to the hospital after a two-alarm fire tore through a vacant building in Allentown.

ALLENTOWN, Pa. -

A fire that injured an Allentown firefighter was intentionally set, officials said Friday.

The fire broke out around 6:30 p.m. Thursday in a vacant building at 600 S. 10th St., across the street from Lehigh Valley Grand Prix.

The fire was confined to one room in an office area of the building, which used to be a manufacturing facility.

Capt. John Christopher, Allentown Fire Dept., said there were multiple points of fire origin in that room.

The injured firefighter is still being treated for a leg injury at Lehigh Valley Hospital in Salisbury Twp., Lehigh Co.
