Fightin Phils use long ball to bury Richmond

The Fightin Phils scored 14 runs on 17 hits, including four home runs, in a 14-6 win over Richmond Sunday in Baseballtown.
Maikel Franco, Jim Murphy, Anthony Hewitt, and Sebastian Valle all homered for Reading.
Franco, the 20-year-old third base prospect who debuted in Reading on Thursday, had four hits and four RBIs, and finished a double shy of the cycle.
Murphy's home run was his league-leading 15th of the season.
For Hewitt, it was his third home run in the last two games. He had hit two long balls in Saturday's loss to Richmond.
Miguel Abreu had three hits and two RBIs for Reading.
Seth Rosin (5-4, 4.07) pitched five innings to get the win on the mound.
The Fightin Phils (32-42) have now won eight of their last 11 games.
They'll kick off a seven-game road trip in New Hampshire Monday at 7:05pm.
The Fightin Phils scored in six of their eight offensive innings.
