Officials in Berks County are investigating a fast-moving fire that destroyed a two-story barn in Robeson Township.
The fire started around 10:30 p.m. Friday at 577 Golf Course Road.
Crews from eight area fire companies spent about three hours extinguishing the blaze.
Police say there were no injuries.
The barn is located next to a home on a property that was once farmed, according to police.
Jared Moyer, the son of the property owners, says the nearly 100-year-old barn was completely destroyed.
Moyer said he heard an explosion right before the fire started.
"The barn went up like someone dropped a bomb on it," he said.
Various equipment and hay were stored in the barn, Moyer said.
Moyer says his family is planning to re-build the barn.
