The Eagles knocked off the 2-seed in the first round of the District III tournament. Exeter plans on keeping the run going.

REIFFTON, Pa. -

The Exeter Eagles entered the District III baseball tournament as the 15-seed. The Eagles paid no attention, knocking off the 2-seed Red Land and advancing.

It's a nice role reversal for the Eagles, who were knocked out in the first round of the BCIAA tournament by 8-seed Kutztown.

Exeter is the only Berks school still left in the AAAA district field.

The Eagles win over Red Land earlier in the week sets up a date with 10-seed Chambersburg on Thursday in Hershey.

Exeter's chemistry has been great all season, but the upset only improved it.

If the Eagles can keep riding that momentum, the Cinderella story may continue.
