EASTON, Pa. -

A Saturday evening traffic dispute almost turned deadly for one Lafayette student.

At around 6:30 p.m., a Lafayette student was almost hit by a car while attempting to cross the street in front of Campus Pizza at the intersection of McCartney and March streets.

An "exchange of words" ensued and eventually the driver of the vehicle pulled a silver and black semi-automatic pistol out and pointed it at the student from the car's window, according to a police report.

Police are looking for a white female with short brown hair, between 5'6" and 5'7" in height and in her early twenties, based on a description from the victim. Witnesses thought the woman might have had red hair.

Police say this unidentified female was driving a newer model white Toyota sedan with a partial Pennsylvania registration with the last four digits of 5929.

The victim also told police that a black male was in the car in the rear driver side passenger seat.
