Deyunqis Thaso Legrand of Allentown has been charged with promoting prostitution by Pennsylvania State Police.
Police describe the 26-year-old suspect as a pimp.
He was arrested Friday, following a police investigation of prostitution at the Knights Inn hotel, which is near the intersection of Route 22 and Airport Road in Hanover Township, Lehigh County.
On Thursday, the state police vice squad at the Bethlehem station initiated the investigation leading to Legrand's arrest.
Police learned a woman was conducting "the business of prostitution" in a room of the hotel. They also learned Legrand was her manager/supervisor/pimp, who received a percentage of her daily business.
Assisted by the woman, police set up a surveillance at the hotel. Legrand was apprehended when he came to the room to retrieve his portion of the profit and other unidentified "business accessories."
Legrand was charged with promoting prostitution and related offenses.
He is in Lehigh County Prison. Bail was set at $5,000.
