Montgomery County officials said they've arrested a man for stealing $39,000 from two area youth sports clubs.

Michael Hrouda of North Hills was an officer with the groups at the time, officials said.

Hrouda was president and treasurer of the Abington Bulldogs Youth Wrestling Club from 2008 until 2012. Throughout that period, officials said the 36-year-old man withdrew cash from the Bulldogs' accounts for his own personal expenditures.

A review of the group's records showed that Hrouda allegedly stole more than $14,000 from the wrestling club, officials said.

Hrouda was also treasurer of the Ardsley North Hills Athletic Association between June of 2010 and July of 2012.

During that time, officials said Hrouda made numerous cash withdrawals, wrote checks from the association's accounts and used the group's PayPal account for his own personal expenditures without approval.

The theft from the Ardsley association was more than $26,000.

Hrouda was charged with multiple counts of theft, receiving stolen property, forgery, access device fraud and related charges. His preliminary hearing is set for July 30 at 12:15 p.m. Bail was set at $10,000.
