A convicted felon was arrested after being seen trespassing at a Schuylkill County business while illegally possessing a firearm, according to state police.

Jonathan Kintzel, 31, of Pottsville, was arrested after being found on Reading Anthracite property without permission by the company's security force Tuesday morning, state police said.

Kintzel was seen with another male around a fire, burning plastic off copper pieces of wiring. Kintzel was found to be in possession of a firearm, which he was barred from having as a convicted felon, according to state police.

Kintzel was charged with criminal trespass and illegally possessing a firearm.

He was sent to Schuylkill County Prison after being unable to post bail.
