WEST BRUNSWICK TWP., Pa. -

The manhunt to find 54-year old Edward Hill started around 6:30 Thursday night. About 13 hours after he allegedly pointed a gun at a trooper, they found him thanks to a concerned citizen.

"We cannot just let him go away. If he is willing to level a gun at at trooper, I do not know what he is going to do to an average citizen if he sees them," said PA State Police Trooper David Beohm.

That is the state of mind state troopers were in Thursday night as they were combing the wooded area of West Brunswick Township looking for Edward Hill.  A trooper was called to the Happy Valley Trailer Court around 6:30 Thursday night for a disturbance between the park's caretaker and Hill. State Police say when the trooper tried to approach Hill, he pulled a weapon out a bag and pointed it at the trooper. At that point the trooper fired at Hill but Hill managed to escape.

"He is armed and dangerous. He already pointed the gun at the trooper, so we have to try to find this guy," said Beohm.

Troopers continued searching for Hill throughout the night. Then around 7:30 Friday morning a woman who had heard of the manhunt on the news spotted Hill walking along the railroad tracks on her way to work and alerted police. She did not want to appear on camera, but tells us she is happy and relieved troopers caught the suspect before he could hurt someone. Others say they have seen Hill in the community before and are surprised by the sudden turn of events.

"I have lived here for many years and I did not think that there was anybody screw loose down there," said neighbor Vincent Yutko.

Hill's bail was set at $250,000 cash. Hill was remanded to the Schuylkill County Prison on numerous charges including attempted homicide and aggravated assault.
