Christmas decorating tips

ALLENTOWN, Pa. -

'Tis the season for decorating your home for the holidays.

If you don't know where to start, what type of lights to choose, or whether to go real or fake tree, we've got you covered.

Home Depot says lights are a good place to start your decorating.

The number one question they get: which type to buy-- LED or incandescent?

Jane Miller, gardening associate at Home Depot, says, "With the LEDs you have 65% energy savings, so you're saving money over the Christmas holiday. If you like the traditional incandescents, we do also have those, and I do like those but the LED's are probably the most popular lights now."

Miller also says real or fake Christmas tree is another big question, but that all depends on personal taste.

Real trees have a certain charm, but fake ones are less mess and some even come pre-lit!

There are also goodies such as Scent-sickles that can make your fake tree smell real!
