Car hits house in Allentown

ALLENTOWN, Pa. -

Police in Allentown are investigating after a car slammed into a church building.

The accident happened around 7 p.m. Wednesday at 543 Emaus Avenue.

It's not clear what caused the driver to lose control, but the impact caused minor damage to both the car and the Trinity Memorial Lutheran Church.

The driver told police he thought a vehicle was entering his lane, and his swerved.

In the process, he lost control, and hit the building.

The driver suffered only minor injuries and didn't require any treatment.

No charges are being filed at this time, police said.
