EASTON, Pa. -

A Northampton County man who was accused of stealing thousands of dollars from a youth soccer club has reached a plea deal.

Brian Farley pleaded guilty Monday to theft by unlawful taking, according to court documents. A charge of receiving stolen property was withdrawn.

Farley, 54, of Walnutport, was the treasurer of the Tri-Boro Soccer Club in Whitehall Twp., Lehigh Co., for six years, investigators said. He stole more than $100,000 from the club's accounts over that time, investigators said.

Farley was sentenced to five years probation and ordered to pay fines and restitution.
