Nearly $75,000 in equipment stolen from vehicle in Berks County

The Wyomissing Police Department is investigating the theft of nearly $75,000 worth of equipment from a vehicle outside the Hampton Inn on Paper Mill Road.
This incident happened between Wednesday, Dec. 11 and Thursday Dec. 12. The front passenger side window, of a 2009 Ford Explorer with a Maryland registration, was smashed out and the following property was taken:
-- A Bird Site Analyzer SA-6000EX. The value of this item is $30,000. The unit is a black Pelican case and possess serial number 103500018.
-- A Motorola GCM 8000 Comparator, valued at $15,000. No serial number available at this time.
-- A Motorola MLC 8000, value at $8,000. No serial number available at this time. (Picture attached)
--An ASP collapsible baton value $60.
-- A Galls First Responder Kit value $75.00.
-- Approximately $20,000 worth of assorted tools used by the victim in his employment was also stolen from the vehicle.
Wyomissing Police were subsequently notified by Colonial Regional Police in Northampton County that two items were recovered in the parking lot of a Hampton Inn located in their jurisdiction. The items recovered were the victim's clothing and personal items, not the equipment.
