A tractor trailer driver will stand trial for allegedly causing the worst accident police said they have ever seen on Route 222.
Emilio Perez-Pazmino was in court Tuesday for his preliminary hearing on charges of homicide by vehicle, involuntary manslaughter, careless driving and related offenses.
Perez-Pazmino was driving his tractor trailer south on Route 222 in Maidencreek Twp., Berks Co., on Oct. 22, 2012, when police said he crashed into a pickup truck and an SUV. Two other vehicles were also involved in the pileup.
The driver of the SUV, Lauren Boyer, was killed in the crash.
Charges against Perez-Pazmino were filed nearly a year after the accident.
