Six fugitives were taken into custody during a sweep involving the Berks County Sheriff's Office and state and county probation/parole agents.
The sheriff's office says the following fugitives were taken into custody without incident:
-- Rayana Eubanks-Hummel, 27, of Wernersville for a May incident in which she allegedly stole merchandise valued at $289 from Sears Department Store in Wyomissing.
-- Luis Echevarria, 22, of Reading. Charge: Court of Common Pleas Bench Warrant for Fleeing and Attempting to Elude Police.
-- Robert Lester Helwig, 49, of Douglassville. He was charged by State Police for Possessing a Controlled Substance and numerous Motor Vehicle Violations due to a vehicle crash in Union Township back in September.
-- Andrew Johnathon Day, 20, of West Reading.He was charged by West Reading Police for Possessing a Controlled Substance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and numerous Motor Vehicle Code Violations due to a traffic violation in West Reading back in October.
-- Jayson Nathaniel Gonzalez, 21, of Reading. He was charged by Muhlenberg Township Police for Disorderly Conduct and Defiant Trespass due to a Domestic dispute back in September.
-- John W. Conrad, 45, of Morgantown. He was charged by Wyomissing Police for Theft by Deception and Receiving Stolen Property,
