Police ID man seriously injured in motorcycle accident

A man remained hospitalized in critical condition Monday after his motorcycle and car collided in Berks County over the weekend.

A man remained hospitalized in critical condition Monday after his motorcycle and car collided in Berks County over the weekend.

The crash happened around 9 p.m. Saturday on Route 724, near Red Corner Road, in Union Township.

The car went down a small embankment, and the motorcycle landed in a cornfield, state police said.

The motorcyclist, Andrew McNair, 32, of Douglassville, suffered a serious leg injury. He was rushed to the trauma center at Reading Hospital.

The driver of the car, Nadia Szymanowicz, 25, of Pottstown, suffered a moderate injury, police said.
