Pickup truck slides off road in Greenwich, lands on roof

A Hamburg woman escaped serious injury when her pickup truck slid off the road and landed on its roof.

GREENWICH TWP., Pa. -

A Hamburg woman escaped serious injury when her pickup truck slid off the road and landed on its roof.

The accident happened shortly after 2 p.m. Thursday in the area of 139 Kohler's Hill Rd. in Greenwich Twp., Berks Co.

Susan Adam was rounding a curve in the road, which was covered with some patches of snow and slush, when the truck went airborne off the road and landed on its side over a drainage ditch, state police said.

Rescue crews had to free the Adam from the pickup. She was transported to Lehigh Valley Hospital near Allentown for treatment of a minor hand injury, police said.

The northbound lane of Kohler's Mill Road was closed for about 90 minutes following the accident.
