Two Reading men have been arrested for allegedly selling bulk amounts of cocaine throughout the city.

Juan Carlos Garcia-Morales used cell phones to facilitate the trafficking of cocaine, which was supplied to him by Nemorio Cineros-Torres, said detectives with the Berks County district attorney's office drug task force.

The detectives' investigation, begun last month, involved the neighborhoods around the 500 block of Moss Street and the 1200 block of North 10th Street.

During the investigation, undercover detectives made three separate purchases of cocaine from the suspects, ranging in price from $400 to $900.

Detectives, Reading police vice officers and federal immigration and customs enforcement agents then executed a warrant on Tuesday to search 522 Moss St. and 1207 N. 10th St., seizing three bags of cocaine, a small amount of marijuana, packaging material used for cocaine distribution, a handgun, two cell phones, two digital scales and more than $1,100 in cash.

Both men were subsequently arrested and committed to the Berks County Jail on $40,000 bail.

ICE agents also determined that both men entered the U.S. illegally from Mexico.
