Berks County coroner identifies man killed in four-vehicle wreck

One man killed in fatal crah on Route 61 in Perry Township

PERRY TWP., Pa. -

Authorities have identified the man killed in a four-vehicle crash in Perry Township, Berks County.

It happened around 5:15 Friday afternoon on Route 61 near Shoemakersville Road.

Police say 48-year-old Raymond Bogardus Jr. of Lenhartsville was driving north when he lost control of his car and swerved into the southbound lanes.

Bogardus was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of one of the other vehicles was taken to the hospital with moderate injuries.
