A Berks County man has been re-elected to a third consecutive term has chairman of the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education's board of governors.
Guido Pichini, president of WSK and Associates Consulting Group and its subsidiaries, is the first PASSHE university alumnus to chair the 20-member board, which oversees the state system's 14 universities.
Pichini earned a bachelor's degree in education/political science and completed graduate studies in public administration at Kutztown University.
Pichini is also a member and former chairman of the Council of Trustees at Kutztown University and is former chairman of the Pennsylvania Association of Councils of Trustees.
Pichini served four terms as mayor and two terms as councilman in the former borough of Wyomissing Hills.
The PASSHE board also elected Laura E. Ellsworth and Ronald G. Henry as vice chairs.
