A judge has ordered one man to stand trial and dropped charges against two others in an attempted homicide case in Reading.

READING, Pa. -

A judge has ordered one man to stand trial and dropped charges against two others in an attempted homicide case in Reading.

Tai-Mare Mercado was ordered held for court Monday in connection with the 2011 shooting of a man in the 1000 block of Spring Street in June 2011.

The judge dismissed all charges against Luis Jimenez and Jonathan Gonzalez, both of whom surrendered to police on attempted homicide and related charges late last year.

Police had said that DNA evidence linked all three men to the shooting.

The victim, police said, was sitting in his car when he was shot multiple times. He survived.
