READING, Pa. -

Grammy Award-winning comedian Lewis Black will bring his popular brand of humor to Reading in the new year.

Black's 2013 standup tour, "The Rant is Due," will stop at the Sovereign Center on Sun., Jan. 13 at 8 p.m. Tickets will go on sale this Friday at 10 a.m.

Black, who performs more than 200 nights a year to sell-out audiences throughout the United States, Europe and Canada, will no doubt touch on the presidential campaign during his appearance in Reading.

“Hallelujah, our long national nightmare is over," Black recently said. "Now we face a fiscal cliff.  Sounds like an event from the X games.  Here’s hoping both parties start talking to each other and stop talking to us."

Black came into national prominence with his appearances on "The Daily Show" in 1996, which then led to comedy specials on HBO, Comedy Central, Showtime and Epix.

Black has released eight comedy albums, including the 2007 Grammy Award-winning "The Carnegie Hall Performance." He won his second Grammy Award for his album "Stark Raving Black."

Black has also published three bestselling books: "Nothing’s Sacred," "Me of Little Faith" and "I’m Dreaming of a Black Christmas."

Tickets for Black's show cost $49.50 and $59.50. They'll be available at the Sovereign Center box office and through Live Nation or Ticketmaster.
