A Philadelphia man has been charged in the sexual assault of a pregnant woman half asleep in her bed.

The alleged assault happened early on the morning of March 29 inside the victim's apartment in Reading.

The victim told police she felt someone get into her bed. Thinking it was her husband, she allowed him to remove her shorts and underwear, according to court documents.

The pregnant woman then became uncomfortable at the start of sexual intercourse, removed the blankets and noticed the man in the bed was not her husband, according to court documents.

Police were able to identify the suspect as Francisco Vega, who later confessed to investigators. He was charged Tuesday with sexual assault and aggravated indecent assault.
