OLEY TWP., Pa. -

Investigators are looking into an apparent burglary at a popular bingo hall in Berks County.

The break-in happened sometime overnight Sunday at the Oley Bingo Hall between Routes 73 and 662. Someone broke into the hall's safe and stole a sizable amount of cash, police said.

There was no visible entry, said police, leading them to believe the thief may have been in the building at closing time on Sunday.

Oley police said they have been in touch with Reading police about the theft of a safe from the Islamic Center in Reading earlier this month.

At this point, police said they haven't found any evidence of the two burglaries being related.
