Valentine's Day didn't go the way one man and woman from New York state had planned.
Police say they were caught trying to steal thousands of dollars worth of bras from Victoria's Secret at the Coventry Mall in Chester County.
Richard Hernandez, 27, from Maspeth, New York, and Alejandra Juarez, 22, from Corona, New York, were arrested and charged with the crime, police said.
A Victoria Secret's employee saw Hernandez and Juarez selecting a large number of bras, police said, and when the employee approached the suspects, she says Hernandez took off running.
Juarez was detained in the store, authorities said.
Some mall workers say they witnessed the crime taking place.
"I heard the cop say 'slow down, slow down, stop,' and then all of a sudden you see this guy just run across our store, full speed," said Chris Yauger.
The suspects tried to get away with $2,300 in bras, investigators said.
All the merchandise was recovered, authorities said.
Hernandez and Juarez are now facing theft charges.
