Howl-O-Ween contest
BOYERTOWN, Pa. -

If you think Halloween is just for people, then you haven't been to the Joe Paws Dog Bakery in Boyertown.

The bakery at 18 S. Reading Ave., announced plans Tuesday for its 3rd annual Howl-O-Ween pet costume contest, which will take place at 2 p.m. on Oct. 27.

Prizes will be awarded for most original, most humorous and most "boo-tiful" costumes. A grand prize will also be presented for the best handler and pet costume combination.

The contest will be followed by a parade of pets around the block on Philadelphia Avenue.

"Last year we were not able to have the pets strut their stuff because it snowed," said Linda Flederbach, Joe Paws' owner. "Hopefully the weather will be more cooperative this year."

For more information about the contest, you can contact the bakery at  610-369-2523.
