READING, Pa. -

Contestants in this year's Pennsylvania Outstanding Young Woman program are hard at work in Berks County.

Eleven girls are taking part in the scholarship contest. They helped at a Habitat for Humanity construction site on Pearl Street in Reading on Tuesday.

The Schuylkill Valley High School student representing Berks County said everyone is getting along great.

"Surprisingly, we've only known each other for a few short days now, but we're together constantly, so I've gotten to know a lot of the girls already. So, they're all great and really motivated and fun," said Jillian Kravitz.

The girls will be working on projects in Berks throughout the week.

Scholarships will be presented to winners Saturday night at Governor Mifflin High School.
