The Greater Reading Convention and Visitors Bureau has developed a new look and brand identity entitled, Go Greater Reading.
"Our new brand identity is a call to action. It tells visitors exactly what we want them to do: 'Go to Greater Reading,'" said Crystal Seitz, bureau president. "The new brand identity better communicates our role as the official cheerleader for travel to Greater Reading and the authority on all things related to tourism in Berks County."
Go Greater Reading promotes the region as a competitive destination to out-of-town consumers, day-trippers, business travelers, and people in search of vacations and getaways, Seitz said.
"It's important to keep our brand identity fresh and recognizable," Seitz said. "We market our area vigorously to ensure that visitors not only know we have a lot to offer, but that we have many things that truly set us apart from other regions."
In 2011, tourism poured more than $761.1 million in visitor spending into the Greater Reading economy, nearly an 11 percent increase over 2010.
