READING, Pa. -

Students who attend Alvernia University's Senior College in Reading got a unique lesson in political reporting.

Members of the 69 News crew who covered the Democratic and Republican national conventions in Charlotte and Tampa spoke Thursday morning with students who enrolled in a 5-week course entitled "Presidential Election 2012: What Can We Expect?"

Reporter and anchor Karin Mallett and Assistant News Director Matt Roth shared some of their experiences and talked about what happened behind the scenes at the conventions this past summer. They also showed off some of their "tools of the trade" and memorabilia they collected and answered a number of interesting questions.

Alvernia University's three semesters of Seniors College classes offer a variety of approximately 20 to 25 courses each session on its campus in southwest Reading.
