Wilsn attempted armed robbery

WILSON BOROUGH, Pa. -

Police in Wilson Borough, Northampton County are searching for a man who attempted to carry out a robbery at gunpoint.

The attempted robbery happened around 12:30 a.m. Sunday in the 1800 block of Northampton Street.

Police say the 34-year-old male victim was walking home after leaving a local pub when a vehicle occupied by four black males drove toward him.

One of the males in the vehicle pointed a handgun at him as he walking up the stairs to his apartment and demanded he lay down.

The suspect then started to go through the victim's pockets while pressing the gun into his back, before getting back into the car and driving off.

Police say the suspect is a black male, in his mid 20s, approximately 6 feet tall and a thin build. The suspect had long dreadlocks and was wearing a baseball hat.

Police say the suspect did not get away with any of the victim's belongings. The victim was not injured.
